Dr. Clair Francomanowill present a case study in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, illustrating how to better engage patients in research. Dr. Francomano, director of Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation Center for Clinical Care and Research, Harvey Institute of Human Genetics, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, has been involved in the care of patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome throughout her career. While at the National Institutes of Health, she spear-headed a longitudinal study on the natural history of EDS that ran for over 20 years. She served on the steering committee for the 2016 International Symposium on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and as chair of the Committee on Classical Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome for the symposium.
