- Troubleshooter
- Assists ‘Website coordinators’ with training related questions
- Consults about proposed changes and upgrades
- Convenes ‘Website Work Group’ monthly
- Ensures ongoing SSRI compliance with University guidelines governing websites (AD 54; 07; 61)
- Develops new websites or web applications
Website coordinator -- (an IT staff member assigned to each SSRI Unit)
- Serves as the unit’s website contact
- Receives/reviews/responds to email inquiries received at ssri-web-admin@psu.edu. If content related, forwards email to the appropriate Unit content monitor or Director
- Implements site level changes and updates in accordance with unit approval process for adding/deleting content (includes posting news/event updates if the unit website content monitor is unavailable)
- Informs Webmaster of major issues
- Attends SSRI Website Work Group meetings
Website content monitor – (someone assigned from within each SSRI Unit)
- Reviews website on a regular basis for accuracy and information currency
- Updates website to add/delete names, events, dates and other related items to maintain an up-to-date website
- Posts news stories/information in accordance with unit approval process for adding/deleting content
- Informs Website coordinator of any technical issues
- Oversees web site and approves all content
- Establishes a unit protocol outlining required review and approval of material before changing or posting information on the website. This process might include an ‘approval’ group or the designation of an individual(s) who may authorize content changes. (Note: As a model, PRI has a written protocol ‘Web Operating Procedures’)
SSRI Website Work Group
- Convenes on a regular basis to address systemic technical questions/issues
- Monitors progress of Phase I and Phase II completion
- Oversees ongoing performance of SSRI website
- Reviews website analytics at least 2x/year (Dec/June)
- Makes recommendations for continuous improvement
