Professor of Education and Sociology David Baker spoke at TEDxFulbright in Washington DC. The April event was titled “Dare to Think,” and featured 16 dynamic talks from Fulbright alumni. Dr. Baker spoke to the audience about “The Education Revolution and Our Global Future.”
By traveling around the world, Dr. Baker and his team study how people learn and how their education affects the society they live in. In his talk, he discusses education’s role in social change. He says, “It is obvious that the world is becoming more educated; what is not so obvious is how much this revolutionizes human society."
Dr. Baker's book, The Schooled Society, is now available. In it, Dr. Baker makes the case for "how the education revolution has changed our world." For more information, see the blog by Stanford Univ Press.
