Waitlist Patient Outcomes Under High-Stakes Incentives to Improve Post-Transplant Outcome
Lauren Hersch Nicholas is a health economist whose research focuses on the role of public policy in improving healthcare quality, physical and mental health for the elderly. She is an Assistant Professor of Health Policy & Management and Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and School of Medicine.
Lauren received her PhD in 2008 from Columbia University and was a National Institute on Aging postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan.
Her current research combines survey, administrative, and clinical data to study the interaction between healthcare utilization, health and economic outcomes. She has received several awards for her research including the National Academy of Social Insurance John Heinz Dissertation Award, the AcademyHealth Article-of-the-Year Award, and the HCUP Most Outstanding Article Award.
