Craig Newschaffer is an epidemiologist whose research focus has been in the area of autism. Prior to joining Penn State, he was founding director of the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, an interdisciplinary, first-of-its-kind research institute established in 2012 that takes a public health approach to addressing the challenges presented by autism spectrum disorders.
