Faculty, undergraduates, medical students, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are invited to attend this day devoted to enhancing careers in cancer research!
Faculty are welcome to present a poster highlighting the lab's research and engage potential students.
The day will include:
- Networking with scientists conducting cancer research at both the UP and Hershey campuses.
- Invited guest speakers
- Dr. Gideon Bollag, a PSU chemistry alumnus, who developed the first targeted BRAF drug for melanoma.
- Dr. Jonathan Wiest, Director of Education and Training for the National Cancer Institute.
- Short oral presentations from current PSU trainees, including three from the College of Medicine, and three from the UP campus
- Separate presentation by Dr. Wiest for faculty about NCI funding opportunities
Breakfast/lunch and transportation to the UP campus will be provided.
