Join a new PRI-supported working group on Population Health Research. It is the hope that many of you would like to attend, present, and potentially collaborate as an outgrowth of this group.
Meetings will be once a month in one of two formats, according to the preferences of the presenter for the month:
1) Paper workshop format: In this format, the presenter will submit a paper draft to the working group listserv in advance of the meeting. All participants who are able will read it, and come prepared to offer suggestions for improvement in the research or article, discuss publication strategy, and anything else the participants would like.
2) Journal club format: In this format, the presenter can select 2-3 recently published papers selected around a common theme for the group to read and critically discuss. Anything relevant to population health research that you find exciting is acceptable. In this approach, the presenter could give a short presentation outlining the contributions, strengths, and weaknesses of the papers, how they interrelate, and what they found interesting about them, followed by general discussion.
Meetings will be in 605 Oswald at 12pm on the last Wednesday
- February 28
- March 28
- April 25
Lunch will be served. Hope to see you there!
