Did you know that less than 2/3 of college professors participate in social media? Meanwhile, only 28% of our population can pass a basic science literacy test. Scientist participating in social media can help change the science dialogue and reach a broader audience.
The Science Policy Society is hosting "Using Social Media as a Science Outreach Platform" on February 28 at 3 pm in room 322 in the HUB. Dr. George Perry and Professor Bill Zimmerman along with special guests will be hosting a panel discussion on how faculty/staff can get involved in social media and its benefits. Learn the facts and statistics surrounding social media and science and how to become active online in a meaningful way.
While this event is geared towards faculty and staff, graduate students are also welcomed.
