Valarie King, director of the Family Demography Training Program in Penn State’s Population Research Institute, along with Rachel Lindstrom, Ph.D. candidate in sociology and demography, and former PRI faculty member Paul Amato received the National Council on Family Relations’ Best Research Article Award – Men in Families Focus Group.
They won the award for their paper “Stepfather-Adolescent Relationship Quality during the First Year of Transitioning to a Stepfamily”, which appeared in the Journal of Marriage and Family.
The National Council on Family Relations is the premier professional association for the multidisciplinary understanding of families.
