StudyFinder is an interactive website that enables visitors to explore research studies, clinical and otherwise, currently seeking volunteers at Penn State.
In the initial rollout at Penn State, StudyFinder extracted information regularly from ClinicalTrials.gov. Starting on June 7, the development team begin pulling data from CATS IRB so all applicable research at Penn State is available to potential volunteers. The ultimate goal is to have all Penn State research available to the public to view in a seamless manner.
Many of you were contacted about this transition and asked to submit a modification in CATS IRB if you were interested in using StudyFinder for recruitment purposes. Currently, approximately 50 studies have been submitted with modifications in the CATS IRB system ahead of the June 1 transition. We would again like to encourage you to visit http://studyfinder.psu.edu and submit your study modifications in CATS IRB if you would like to use it as a recruitment tool.
Please contact the IRB Program at the Office for Research Protections at IRB-ORP@psu.edu if you have any questions.
