Methodology Center Collaborative Research Funding projects are designed to bring talented and energetic researchers into the field of methodology and to foster new collaborative research ties between Methodology Center researchers and other researchers at Penn State. Competitive proposals will develop methodology in the prevention and treatment of substance use, but prior experience in substance abuse research is not required. We encourage proposals from quantitatively-oriented researchers from any discipline who can bring exciting, new perspectives to the study of treatment and prevention. This funding opportunity provides support for initiating new research collaborations that could lead to a program of significant research and competitive proposals to external agencies. Studies should last six to twelve months, and awards will be given for up to $20,000 to fund salary support, travel, research assistants, and/or necessary supplies.
Application Deadline is November 15, 2011.
