On Tuesday, we will welcome Nikki Crowley, PhD, Assistant Research Professor of Biobehavioral Health in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State University Park, who will present “Novel Peptidergic Targets for Alcohol Use Disorder.”
Dr. Crowley will discuss the role of samatostatin neurons in alcohol use disorder—specifically in animal models of binge drinking. Using a combination of behavioral techniques, optogenetics, chemogenetics, and slice electrophysiology, she will show new work from her lab elucidating samatostatin as a novel therapeutic target for alcohol.
Light refreshments will be served.
