Registration is open for the 10th Annual Appalachian Translational Research Network Health Summit, Community-Engaged Research in Translational Science: Innovations to Improve Health in Appalachia
The Wake Forest School of Medicine Clinical and Translational Science Institute will host the summit on Sept. 22-23. The summit will be abbreviated and held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The summit:
- highlights current research designed to understand and reduce health disparities among diverse populations within Appalachia,
- identifies innovative approaches to community-engaged research and translational science to improve the health of these populations,
- develops new and strengthens existing research partnerships, networks, and mentoring relationships to advance these approaches within the region, and
- establishes and disseminates priorities for future Appalachia-focused research.
