The Research Collaboration Fellowship Program is a competition that encourages and builds research partnerships among faculty across Penn State to attract external funds. Madlyn Hanes, Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses, and Neil Sharkey, Vice President for Research, announced that three of the five Fellows were in the social sciences.

Micheal Bernstein, Assistant Professor of Psychology (Abington), is working with Joshua Smyth, Professor of Biobehavioral Health, on a project titled “Social Rejection and Biobehavioral Health."
Evan Bradley, Assistant Professor of Psychology (Brandywine) is teaming up with Janet van Hell, Associate Professor of Spanish and Linguistics, on the project “Aural Skills Training for the Improvement of Lexical Tone Learning."
Kimberly Menard, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Women’s Studies (Altoona) will work with Barry Ruback, Professor of Criminology and Sociology, on the project “Prevalence and Processing of Child and Adult Sexual Assault: Longitudinal, Multi-dataset Analyses of Pennsylvania Counties."
